Project Archivist – L8 Archive Project/WoW (Writing on the Wall), closes 30 Aug

WoW (Writing on the Wall) have an exciting opportunity for an experienced archivist to work on their L8 Archive project.

Working to bring into public access, two nationally significant collections relating to Liverpool’s Black History, the role will see you exploring The L8 Law Centre and Liverpool Anti-Racist Community Art Association.

These two vital anti-racist organisations were central to the defence and empowerment of Liverpool’s communities and we’re recruiting for a thoughtful and knowledgeable archivist, who will help document and share these important histories both here in Liverpool and nationally.

Working with Writing on the Wall, supported by Liverpool Central Library and Archive you will preserve, catalogue, digitise and promote the extensive L8 Archive Collection.

You’ll work alongside the Project Team and Steering Committee to ensure best practice and community involvement and to recruit and supervise volunteers, who will assist with cataloguing and digitising the collection.

Deadline for applications: is 5pm Monday 30th August (applications arriving by post or email after this time will not be accepted)

Interviews will be held at Liverpool Central Library on Monday 13th September

To apply, please fill out the application pack and monitoring form here and email to [email protected] FAO Madeline Heneghan.

For more information on WoW’s creative heritage work, download their pack here.
