Altru Drama CIC are now casting for talented, enthusiastic, and committed actors for ‘Eyes Open’ which will tour in June – July 2022
All actors must be aged 18+.
They have to prioritise drivers aged 23+. DBS required (they can support this process if you don’t have a DBS)
Eyes Open is a play about drugs and alcohol for Year 6 pupils.
• 50 minute performance
• Performed to Year 6
• Actors also deliver the workshops
• Touring the North West (13th June – 15th July inclusive of rehearsal)
• 4 week tour
The performance is accompanied by a workshop which is delivered by the actors (full training is provided)
They are particularly keen to hear from actors with workshop leading experience.
Ellie (11) The play’s narrator – genuine, earnest and kind.
Female identifying actor, to play:
Abby Ellie’s 16 year old sister. Sensible but a little volatile.
Jan Mum of the family. Hard working, flustered, finds life tough.
Daisy Ellie’s best friend – popular and pushy.
Male identifying actor, to play:
Roger Ellie’s Dad – silly and lots of fun.
Josh (16) Ellie’s brother. Moody and difficult.
Nick (18) Abby’s boyfriend.
The successful candidates will be able to multi-role and have a passion for theatre for young people.
Fee: ITC minimum (based on a 6 day contract. Actors will be needed for weekdays only, so exact amount per week is £411.66)
Due to the nature of this project, applicants need to have a Merseyside or North West base.
