Our paid bursary placement role as Production Assistant will offer the opportunity to work with Filmmaker Nick Farrimond, M6’s Artistic Director Gilly Baskeyfield and professional actors.
M6 Theatre is creating an educational film for ages 13+. The Incident, written by Mary Cooper, will explore issues around misogynistic culture, coercive control and consent, supporting relationship and sex education.
They are looking for someone who is living in Rochdale or has strong connections to the Borough or is under-represented in the arts sector and lives within commuting distance of Rochdale. You might be a recent graduate, amid a career change or just looking for some hands-on experience for your CV.
The great thing about this role is that every day will be different depending on which scenes we are filming. Tasks you may undertake include: on-set support for the filmmaker, assisting with props and costumes, assisting with set dressings, liaising with the production team to co-ordinate timings, organising refreshments etc.
Any experience of film making is a bonus, but not essential.
The successful candidate will be awarded a bursary of £550 for the week.
You must be available for the filming dates: Mon 3 – Fri 7 March 2025.

Interview date is Fri 7 February at M6 Studio Theatre in Rochdale.
