Award-winning independent production and training organisation First Take are looking for 10 Queer Poets, Rappers & Spoken Word Performers to collaborate with them on a series of films and a live performance as part of Queer inSight and Homotopia Festival this year.
Award-winning Filmmaking Organisation First Take are partnering with Queer Bodies Poetry Collective to create QUEER InSIGHT. An LGBTQIA+ Arts Programme for Liverpool City Region (LCR) based Poets to work alongside established Queer Artists, Musicians and Filmmakers to create their own spoken word film or music video, partake in workshops that will develop their skills as writers, and perform in a live show in November 2022.
Applicants must currently reside in the Liverpool city region
Applicants must be 18+ years old
Applicants must identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community
We welcome applications from all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and strongly encourage those who are underrepresented in the arts, such as D/deaf, disabled and Global Majority individuals to apply. *
Deadline for applications is Midnight on 18th August, 2022.
All applications must be submitted through the Google Form. Any applications that do not come through our Google Form will not be considered.**
