Trainee Theatre Practitioner Placement September – December 2021
Burnley Youth Theatre is excited to announce they are recruiting a Trainee Theatre Practitioner to start the week beginning 27th September until the 12th December 2021.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an early career Theatre Practitioner who has some experience in planning and leading workshops (this experience can be voluntary or educationally based). The applicant must have a passion and enthusiasm for theatre, the arts and working with young people.
The role is a paid placement (National Minimum Wage) and is for 10 hours a week for 10 weeks based at their theatre building in Burnley. The placement will run during our Autumn Season and will include gaining experience in:
- Inclusive Youth Theatre Workshops
- School and Outreach Workshops
- A Christmas Production
Applicants must be 18 – 25 years old. A timetable will be created for the trainee practitioner to ensure that they gain experience in a range of workshops. Their core workshops run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with their Christmas Production running on Wednesdays (with some weekend rehearsals).
They are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to ensuring that underrepresented communities are represented in their organisation. They particularly welcome applications from the BAME community.
