Chetham’s School of Music are seeking a specialist Vocal Repetiteur with a high level of performance and industry expertise and a broad range of teaching experience at the highest of specialist standards.
Understanding of International Phonetic Alphabet essential – the successful candidate will be expected to deliver introductory IPA sessions in a classroom setting to students in both Middle and Upper School; broad experience of 1-2-1 language based vocal coaching; significant experience of coaching of young singers within the vocal repertoire (including opera, oratorio and song).
Working as a part of our highly regarded vocal teaching team within the UK’s largest specialist music school, candidates will be committed to the education and development of exceptionally talented young people.
Vocal Repetiteur: 1yr fixed term contract, with ad hoc hours allocation to be negotiated (potential for hours and contract duration to be extended thereafter).
Understanding of International Phonetic Alphabet essential; broad experience of 1-2-1 language-based coaching classes; significant experience of coaching of young singers within the vocal repertoire (including opera/oratorio and song).
The ability to teach students competently in an online setting is also crucial to these roles. Candidates will need to be flexible with regards to hours – which necessarily change annually dependent upon student intake and work schedules are in accordance with School term times.
