Work with collaborative art duo Juneau Projects to make wildlife and landscape illustrations using paint, paper-cutting and more and share your stories and memories of the Moss.
Join in with a creative project all about Colliers Moss Common, 130 hectares of habitats on the site of the old Bold Colliery and Bold Power Station. Working together with collaborative art duo Juneau Projects, you’ll help create a guide and activity book that will be available free to local residents. The book will contain information and illustrations about local wildlife, history and things to do on the Moss.
You can take part by making illustrations (no art experience needed!) and by chatting about your experiences and observations on ‘the Moss’.
Explore the Moss
Tuesday 15th August, 11am – 1pm and 2.30pm – 4.30pm, Colliers Moss Common
Walk with the Moss’ ranger to look at the wildlife of the moss. Activities will include photography and drawing. We’ll supply the magnifying glasses and clip-on phone lenses, as well as clipboards and drawing materials.
If it’s too wet for a walk, we’ll meet inside instead for a wildlife talk from the Moss’ ranger, with a painting and drawing activity.
(Meeting point will be shared with attendees ahead of the event)
