Plan and create your own animal sculpture using a variety of recycled materials.
Over the three day course participants will learn the fundamental construction and modelling techniques for sculpture using newspaper, wire and adhesive tape.
Tutor
Faith Bebbington is a professional artist with a studio based in Liverpool, having gained her sculpture degree in Winchester.
She has over twenty years experience of creating sculpture for public, corporate and private clients, as well as for exhibition and sale.
Her public art commissions include permanent works in Belfast, Derby, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Knowsley, Liverpool and London.
Recently the Football Association with Veolia Environment commissioned two life – size Lion sculptures for Wembley Stadium. Faith has also been commissioned by ITV Creates to create a sculpture for their December television feature.
She is also a qualified teacher with a PGCE in Art. She has extensive experience of leading participatory arts workshops and art projects with schools and a wide range of community groups and organisations including Mencap Liverpool, National Trust, Refugee Action and National Museums Liverpool.
Materials
Each attendee will be provided with a pack of recycled materials, wire and adhesives for only £3 on the day so please bring along some spare change!
Note: You may wish to layer up, as the location can get a bit chilly as well as wearing an outer layer you can get a bit messy and you are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you.
