This full day arts workshop combines presentations from tutors, peer-action-learning and practical exercises.
The workshop will introduce participants to:
A broad range of Creative Ageing practice, illustrated through national and international case studies
The policy/strategic context to the work
The social impact and benefits of the work
Aspects of good practice in Creative Ageing.
The workshop will explore the:
Practical and ethical challenges of working with older adults
The creative potential of this work.
It will offer practical ideas and exercises developed over fifteen years of Collective Encounters’ work in the field.
This training day is particularly aimed at artists working in community contexts who are interested to work with older people.
They are seeking artists with some experience of working in these settings, looking to hone and extend their practice. Also people currently working with older adults, who are interested in introducing the arts into their practice.
