When 500 Mersey Docks & Harbour workers were sacked for refusing to cross a picket line, photographer Dave Sinclair was there to support and document the dispute.
The film, Dockers – The ’95 to ’98 Liverpool Lockout, is free to watch online at any time here and Sinclair’s work will be available to view in person once lockdown ends and venues are permitted to reopen.
Twenty-five years on, his experiences have been recorded in a short film commissioned by Dead Pigeon Gallery.
Created by Harvey Morrison, the film shows snippets of a conversation between Sinclair and the Scottie Press’ Joel Hansen, which took place as he installed an exhibition of his work.
