Food, Glorious, Food: A history of some of literature’s most famous meals

Find out about the history of some of literature’s most well-known foods in this fascinating talk by our special guest, food historian Dr. Bryce Evans. From Dickens to Shakespeare, readings by Dr. Clare Ellis will bring the dishes in some well-loved books to life, before Dr. Evans shares the hidden histories that these foods can reveal.

As part of Heritage Open Days, this event celebrates the festivals 2021 theme of Edible England.
