The Artel Press is pleased to join with composer and writer Michael Higgins in a book launch and concert.
The concert is held at Parish Church of Our Lady and St Nicholas, 30 August, 12pm and performed by The Swinsung Euphonia.
This is an afternoon recital of contemporary music and will consist of a performance of new work by Michael Higgins for baritone, 2 pianos, organ, percussion, Indian harmonium, shruti, guitar and double bass, setting works by Rumi, Rilke, Attar, Dickinson, Rossetti and Blake.
Higgins’ works are highly contemplative, exquisitely detailed and moving – the performance will be of interest to audiences open to new forms in classical music and composition. Head along and experience something out of the ordinary.
Refreshments, book stall and signings will also be available.
