Join Luma Creations at Central Library for an exciting, vibrant weekend of Latin American arts and culture – Experience, Participate, Learn, Share, Taste and Move.
The schedule for the two day festival staged by Luma Creations will be;
Friday 24th May
Launch of “A Chilean Story” a heritage project about the history of the Chilean Community in Liverpool City Region from the 1970’s to the present day. The project features songs, dances and stories from Chile, including the traditional Chinchinero.
Saturday 25th May
Music, dance and storytelling from Chile, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Brasil and Uruguay. The day features drums, dance, arts and crafts workshops
Talks on influential women from Argentina, Brasil, Chile and Mexico plus an exhibition of Women of Latin America and craft stalls.
