Learn how to improvise with leading Liverpool improvisation teacher Emma Bird. You will learn how to improvise games and scenes just like TV’s Who’s Line is it Anyway. Workshops are friendly and accessible.
Absolutely no previous experience is necessary. Just come as you are and they’ll do the rest. And, no, you don’t have to be funny! Classes are open to everyone. You may find yourself more confident, creative and open outside the class as you discover how the application of improv principles makes life just a little more easy and fun.
WHAT IS IMPROVISATION?
Improvisation is spontaneously making up short scenes without a script. It is fun, creative and playful and helps you develop your creativity, self-confidence and wellbeing. You will laugh long and hard – guaranteed!
Everyone can improvise. You literally do it everyday, in every conversation you have – you are making it up on the spot! In improvisation classes, you don’t have to be funny, or clever or try to impress. Just honest, open, authentic and playful.
WHAT HAPPENS IN CLASS?
Each workshop starts with games, where playfulness, trust & laughter are experienced! Everyone is involved and relaxes and gets to know each other. They then lead into simple, very short improvised scenes and games. The principles of improvisation are explored and will guide you through each workshop.
