As a little Christmas treat, British Music Experience have arranged an intimate evening with Don Powell, the drummer with legendary glam rockers Slade.
One of the most successful British rock bands of all time they had a phenomenal run of success in the 1970s with 17 consecutive Top 20 singles, 6 Number Ones, and also starred in their own 1975 feature film Slade In Flame.
They are responsible for what is arguably the greatest Christmas single of all time in ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’. This was the Christmas Number One in 1973 and went on to sell over a million copies.
