The Art Of Reggae exhibition returns to Liverpool! The exhibition, a collaboration between the International Reggae Poster Contest and Positive Vibration will showcase 100 reggae-inspired posters designed by illustrators & artists from all over the world.
The International Reggae Poster Contest is an initiative which celebrates the globalisation of reggae and the resounding impact of its positive message. Each year, they host a poster contest, giving artists from all around the world the opportunity to submit their reggae-inspired designs. Last year’s contest received 1,270 submissions from 75 countries. The top 100 are displayed as part of the exhibition.
The contest was founded in 2011 by Maria Papaefstathiou and the late Michael Thompson. Tickets for the exhibition opening are free but must be booked at the link above.
During the exhibition visitors can bid on any of the posters (all will be framed) by way of a silent auction.
Profits from the sale of posters will be donated to Alpha Boys School – the vocational institution for underprivileged youths located in Kingston, Jamaica.
