Liverpool and Wirral join forces for a spectacular display of light and music for all ages. The spectacular finale of the China Dream season, and the Imagine Wirral year of culture and ideas, this year’s River of Light event has plenty of activities for all ages.
Each evening in Liverpool from 2 – 4 November, a series of art installations will explore the five elements that underpin Chinese philosophy; water, fire, earth, metal and wood. Over the river in New Brighton, there’ll be fun for all the family – including ghostly pirates on the Black Pearl. All this plus street theatre, food and drink stalls and family activities! So wrap up warm, leave the dog at home and join in.
On Sunday, the main fireworks display will begin at 18:30 – entertainment begins at 17:00. This year’s fireworks will once again light up the skies over the Mersey, with fireworks exploding from the water’s edge and huge floating barges, so they can be seen for miles around!
