A project exploring the expression of creativity through growing flowers and food during lockdown.
The event is held online, 18 September, 6pm, Luma Creations Facebook page.
All members of Mestisa, like many of their friends have been indulging in good food, trying to grow healthy diets to ward against the danger of the disease that haunts us all.
They turned to Pachamama (mother earth) for comfort and to food that keeps them connected to their roots and families as they talk about recipes and growing tips.
Many of the foods they grow also have Latin American roots and like them have settled there, such as potato, pumpkin, maize, beans and artichokes.
They also are part of a supportive online community of growers called Seeds of Hope, which gave them the idea for the project.
They will be playing a set relating to food, plants and garden, the visuals and interpretation will reflect the theme.
Part of Feria Latina 2020.
