Liverpool Nightlife collective, SisBis celebrate International Women’s Day on Friday 8 March with a special evening of workshops, food and music from 6pm, followed by an after party from 10pm, featuring DJs, Manara, Giovanna, Nina Kehagia and Tiz.
The first part of the evening from 6-10pm is a free event and will feature the Refugee Women Connect choir, a group of singers who are service users of the charity. There will also be stalls and workshops provided by local female collectives, including a plant swap by Lily Collins, clothes swap by Rebecca Eddington, food by Alice Lilley, a banner making workshop by Kat Wright, The Period Project (Merseyside) will be taking donations and giving out information and Exhibitchin’ will run a craftivism workshop for RASA Merseyside. Music will be provided by Subcora and Humble Abode.
There will be an after party from 10pm which will feature BBC Asian Network DJ, Manara as well as SisBis resident, Giovanna and locals Nina Kehagia and Tiz.
