David Morley is a poet whose work often takes influence from his part-Romani background.
On the final day of the Chester Literature Festival, David will be joined in The Kitchen by flamenco dancers from Deva Flamenco in a celebration of poetry and dance with gypsy roots.
David won the Ted Hughes Award for The Invisible Gift: Selected Poems. He is Professor of Creative Writing at Warwick University and wrote the bestselling Cambridge Introduction to Creative Writing.
David has performed his poems internationally and his podcasts on writing were pre-loaded on to demo AppleMacs across the world. He is a winner of a Cholmondeley Award and a Fellow of The Royal Society of Literature.
