Toxteth Pottery Studio presents first members showcase this Christmas at Buyers Club Liverpool on Saturday 14th December.
Altar Pottery is an independent ceramics studio nestled in the heart of Toxteth in John Archer Hall. Set up in 2018 by Attila Olah, the workshop provides a dynamic learning and practice environment for ceramics enthusiasts of all levels, from the beginner to the more seasoned practitioner.
The studio currently has 14 practicing members who share the space and facilities and offers a wide range of evening and weekend classes for beginners and hobbyists alike. All taught sessions are fun, relaxed and informative and nurture each maker’s skills at an individual pace. Evening classes run from Monday to Thursdays and there are weekend introductory sessions for those wanting to try the potter’s wheel.
On Saturday 14th December 10-3pm the studio presents its first members showcase at the Buyers Club. Unique, affordable pieces from local makers will be available to purchase along with pottery experience gift vouchers for the studio, which offer a special memorable experience as a Christmas gift.
In addition to presenting local artists and designers the makers market at Buyers Club showcases local food producers and hosts a mulling bar, wine tasting and hot
scrumptious food from the Buyers Club chefs including reindeer and sprout burgers all accompanied by music from Melodic Distraction DJ’s

Buyers Club – Situated just off the beaten track of Liverpool’s burgeoning Hardman Street, Buyers Club plays host to regular garden parties, live music, BBQs and art exhibitions.
