Working in Schools for Artists is a one day introductory workshop, for anyone interested in exploring how they can adapt their own artistic practice and professional experience, to delivering workshops in schools.
The day will cover the basics of the school environment and what to expect, Key Stages and age groups, planning and preparation and workshop delivery.
Following on from the course there will be access to shadowing opportunities and the potential to move onto paid workshop delivery in schools through dot-art.
The workshop will be delivered by Faith Bebbington, a professional sculptor and qualified teacher with over 25 years’ experience working in schools, Ann Spears, former Head of Art at Upton High School and SLiCE (Specialist Leader in Cultural Education) fellow and Carolyn Murray, Project Manager of dot-art Schools.
Tickets are just £25 (usually £75) thanks to funding from Arts Council England.

Cancellations / Refunds
Once you have made your course booking your are committed to it. This is because our courses have very small student numbers, and often sell-out and are unavailable to others. Therefore any cancellations may result in a place not being filled, or a course not being able to run.
Cancellations are permitted up to 30 days before the start of a course, and a full refund will be issued. Refunds will not be made for cancellations less than 30 days before the start of a course.
If you are unable to attend due to illness, personal or professional commitments you do not have the right to a refund.
If you wish to cancel your place on a course that has not yet started and you have a friend or colleague who can take your place we can accommodate this substitution.
