WoWFest 2018 finishes in style with an exciting afterparty featuring prolific rapper and spoken word artist Potent Whisper.
Potent Whisper’s ‘Grenfell Britain’ video has been viewed over 400 thousand times and been referenced twice in parliament as ‘gut-wrenching prose’. The Rhyming Guide to Grenfell Britain, his debut collection, features a catalogue of socio-political work that has actively served campaigns on the ground for the past two years; being delivered at demonstrations, in council chambers, on TV news channels and at political occupations. Potent Whisper will be supported by exciting performances from WoW’s own projects.
After what will be a rousing performance, dance the night away with a groovy set of funk, afro and disco from SiSBis, best known for her refugee raves.
This event is supported by Between The Borders, a collective of people with and without citizenship in the UK, who produce diverse publications and events. They work towards improving the experiences of asylum seekers and new migrants by creating and maintaining platforms for people’s experiences, critical discourse and meaningful creative work.
