A Lovely Word, downstairs at the Everyman, is Liverpool’s most eclectic poetry night. It features two halves of open mic poets, and a headliner beginning the first half. Hosted by Alex Ferguson and team, this free event is a fun, relaxed and friendly evening of performance poetry.
HEADLINER
Shaun Fallows is a poet born with cerebral palsy. Real and raw, expect potholes, speed-dating and Amsterdam in this exploration of disability, relationships and travel.
He will be touring his new book ‘Redundant Butties’ which defines what it means to grow up as a working-class man and wheelchair user today. Our hearts are not desolate, just the tyre tracks are muddied.
