About

Uncover Liverpool is your complete ‘what’s on’ guide to arts and culture in the Liverpool city region, where you can find out what’s coming up from the latest exhibitions, gigs and theatre to workshops, family days out and festivals as well as arts jobs and artist opportunities.

Uncover Liverpool is a project by Open Culture, an independent social enterprise. We want to encourage engagement with the arts by providing a comprehensive guide to the Liverpool city region’s cultural scene where everyone can find and share events, news and opportunities; mostly because getting involved with arts and culture has been proven to make people happier.

Exhibitions, performances, workshops, activity days, talks, and participatory art projects are all things we’d love to promote.

You can promote your event for free by signing up here, or contact us at hello@uncoverliverpool.com.

If you have an idea for an article or feature, or for promotional opportunities, email clare@culture.org.uk.

About Open Culture

Uncover Liverpool is a project by Open Culture, a small social enterprise which aims to increase the profile of and engagement with the arts in the region. We do this through a variety of projects and events; nurturing and connecting artists and audiences.

Our Projects

LightNight is Liverpool’s annual one-night arts festival and sees over 50 venues across the city centre open their doors until late to stage more than 100 free events for audiences of all ages to enjoy. Visitors to the festival can get involved with everything from light projections, live music, hands-on workshops, street performance, dance, exhibitions, walks and talks; creating their own experience and seeing the city in a new light.

Our biannual Summer and Winter Arts Markets are the biggest art and design fairs in Merseyside, with over 200 stallholders participating and an audience of thousands. Art lovers can find unique and handmade work such as prints, ceramics, photography, and much more; all while supporting local artists.

Tickle the Ivories is Liverpool’s street piano festival, transforming the commercial spaces within Liverpool ONE into platforms for live music. Musicians, bands, choirs and members of the public are able to hop on a piano to busk, promote their act or just for fun!
