Writing on the Wall are looking for participants for their new project Write to Work.
A free innovative 12 week course starting Thursday 30th January until 16th April, 10am- 3pm, at the Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre, 4 Princess Road L8 1TH.
The Write to Work course is aimed at helping unemployed learners, who are 16 years old and more and who are eligible to work in the UK explore a diverse range of writing skills, to help obtain employment, explore further education or vocational training.
Throughout the course participants will be working with professional writers and industry professionals such as Manon Steffan Ros, Cheryl Martin, The Double Negative, Ailsa Cox, Amy Roberts and Amina Atiq.
They will deliver weekly sessions on diverse areas within the writing sector such as fiction, nonfiction, poetry and spoken word, articles, cultural reviews, blogs, editorials, scripts, gaming, copywriting, podcasting, journalism and editing.
At the end of the course the participants work will be published in a professional anthology with a high-profile book launch.
