Bluecoat is seeking an exceptional individual for their new Project Facilitator role.
This is an outreach role based in Merseyside with some work in other areas of the North West, which will cover 22.5 hours per week at £22,500 pro rata (£13,500 per annum).
Bluecoat is Liverpool’s centre for the contemporary arts, offering a year-round programme of exhibitions and a range of music, dance, literature, live art and heritage events. As conservators of a rich history and ornate building, which marked its 300 year anniversary in 2017, they are also home to around thirty artists, collectives, small arts organisations and craftspeople. As part of their new business plans they are pursuing the expansion of their award-winning participation work into other centres in the North West and further afield.
Since 2010 they have been involved in connecting people on a dementia journey and their carers with artists in workshop environments. They are now working in partnership with Belong who for 20 years have been working to provide innovative residential environments for people on a dementia journey and their carers. Together they successfully applied for a grant from Arts Council England and the Baring Foundation as part of the Celebrating Age programme.
They are seeking a dynamic Project Facilitator to join Bluecoat’s dedicated and experienced participation team to take an artistic lead on this new project. This will be a unique opportunity for someone with their own critically engaged practice to develop their existing participatory approach within the framework of a brand new programme for Bluecoat. Their unique partnership with Belong will mean that the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work closely with an innovative provider of dementia care and to collaborate with artists who have developed participatory practices.
The deadline for applications for this exciting new role is 9am on Monday 2 July 2018.
