dot-art Schools have announced that this year’s annual inter-school art exhibition will be going ahead in a brand new online virtual gallery! Plus, the creative talents of teachers will be celebrated alongside the students.
Carolyn Murray, dot-art Schools Project Manager reveals “After the sadness of having to postpone our 8th annual dot-art Schools exhibition we are thrilled to be able to hold this dot- art Schools virtual exhibition so that the creative work of children and young people from our participating schools can still be shared and celebrated online. Our prize giving event will also be going ahead via the magic of Zoom!”
The dot-art Schools programme was developed by dot-art, the Liverpool based arts organisation which has been supporting artists and developing innovative and creative visual arts projects since 2006. dot-art Director Lucy Byrne commented “Like many small cultural organisations, responding to the COVID pandemic has presented a unique challenge for us, so we are particularly grateful to the Arts Council of England for their support at this time.
Along with their sponsors Medicash and Arriva North West, it is enabling them to present this year’s winning entries in a new virtual exhibition online.”
To show teachers how much they are valued, dot-art Schools are inviting creative teachers and support staff to take part in “Teachers Corner”, a special online exhibition. This will also demonstrate to students that teachers are creative too!
