Applications to the Emergency Grassroots Music Venues Fund are now open.
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) have announced a new fund to support grassroots live music venues at imminent risk of insolvency.
This is the first fund they will administer on behalf of the Government, as part of the £1.57 billion package announced recently to protect the UK’s culture and heritage sector during the Covid-19 pandemic.
As part of that package, the £2.25 million Emergency Grassroots Music Venues Fund seeks to ensure the survival of grassroots music venues in England.
The fund is being launched at the request of DCMS who have also set the criteria: it will be administered, awarded and monitored by the Arts Council on behalf of DCMS.
The portal is open until midday August 3rd.
