Are you a skilled craftsperson, ceramicist, woodworker, metalworker, weaver, artisan, embroiderer or needleworker? BBC2 are casting a history series and are looking for craftspeople who might be keen to take part!
The series will take a landmark look at the Arts and Crafts movement, exploring and celebrating the principles of the movement and visionaries like William Morris. The BBC want to take a small group of craftspeople back in time to live and work in and an Arts and Crafts bubble.
Showcasing the skill, beauty and worth of great craftsmanship, crafters will learn about the history of the time and principles of those behind Arts and Crafts; why it was important, and how it could enrich lives. Similar in style to other ‘living history’ series like Back in Time for Dinner and Victorian Farm, makers will be followed as they hand make items for the house using original tools and materials.
The series is due to film at the end of Summer 2018 (Sept/Oct) for six weeks. If you would like to be involved and have any questions, or would like any further information, call Vanda Kettlehut on 0141 331 4992.
All applicants must be over the age of 18.
