This new project is seeking participants to record their experiences of working in the live music industry under Covid-19.
The project will involve an interview (either face to face or via the internet) and an environmental portrait photograph to be taken.
These would then be curated by Charlie Dean and displayed at the BME in Liverpool and online. Charlie’s previous exhibition, Music and Memory: A Peter Saville Sample can be seen at http://www.cabinetncl.co.uk.
Charlie wants to give exposure to those groups that are currently underrepresented in the creative industries, e.g. individuals who identify as any of the following; disabled, working class, women, LGBTQIA+, or BAME.
She’s keen to cover the experiences of the people that work behind the scenes as well as the artists themselves, so she’d like to hear from crew, managers and small venue owners too.
