Woolfian Tales are looking for a creative black womxn to play the role of an African mother for a music video they will be shooting at the end of March 2021. The video is being produced in partnership with People Staring production company.
About The Role
The role is of an African mother who decides to move to the UK to give her children the chance of a “better” future. The music deals with the social and emotional fallout of this decision. The video is an exploration of the dichotomy between her “homeland” and the place she calls home, and what that does to her.

Fee
£200 (£100 per day) + travel expenses.

This should include:
- A video self-tape of a spoken piece (monologue, poem, story, etc.)
- A short personal statement. This can be submitted as either a written document (max. 300 words), or a video (max. 2 minutes). This should include:
- Who you are
- Why you do what you do
- Previous experience
- (OPTIONAL) Up to 3 links to previous work
Please send videos as links rather than downloads – Vimeo/Youtube preferred. Your video can be unlisted, but remember to include any passwords, and ensure videos will be available to watch until at least March 1st, 2021. Written statements should be attached as a PDF to your email application.
