The 2021 Rugby League World Cup will be the sixteenth staging of the cup and will be held in England between 23rd October and 27th November.
Leigh Sports Village will play host to three games as part of the tournament, which will be watched worldwide by an estimated 150 million people across 115 countries.
The Museum of Wigan Life will create a six-month (minimum) curated exhibition focused on Rugby League. It will see the majority of the ground floor museum space reimagined, taking a bold and vibrant approach to the use of space, display of items and interpretation/interactives.
It will appeal to a range of new audiences and will be an opportunity to test different design approaches with new and existing audiences.
The role
They wish to appoint a dynamic and ambitious design consultant to take the creative lead on the vision for the exhibition and associated branding.
Working closely with the team the consultant will develop design ideas based on the themes and collection to provide a vision and final detailed design from which the exhibition can be fabricated within the production budget.
