Movema and Cheshire Dance are delighted to launch “Wildfire Rising” – a paid Associate Artist Development Programme.
They have been developing, consulting, and curating platforms with artists, dance organisations and funders in the northwest over the past 3 years to really understand the barriers for underrepresented dance artists.
Thanks to Arts Council England, our collaboration with Cheshire Dance and our partners.
They bring you Wildfire Rising at a timely moment, post the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter Movement and COVID pandemic.
Wildfire Rising is an artist programme that removes the barriers of inequality by investing in and supporting artists from the African, South Asian, East Asian and South East Asian Diasporas.
Cheshire Dance and Movema are looking for three North West based dance artists who will each take part in paid, bespoke professional development and reflection, receiving 3.5k which includes a £1.5k commission and support to develop their own dance work.
Full information can be found here or by downloading an information pack here.
