This is a fantastic opportunity to help make a real difference in the creative regeneration and engagement across our Liverpool communities.
Are you experienced in engaging diverse communities in creative regeneration schemes, place-making and neighbourhood issue-based initiatives?
Can you build positive trusted relationships and confidence in communities?
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of developing and managing successful creative engagement projects within communities.
Do you have experience commissioning creative organisations and artists in delivering creative engagement programmes in communities? If so, this maybe the role for you!
We are looking for a Creative Neighbourhood Project Officer for a fixed term period of 12 months in order to creatively engage communities living in regeneration areas of the city to have positive and meaningful input into those schemes and that of the recovery of their neighbourhood post COVID.
We are looking for someone who can ensure that those communities’ stories and those of the local area are captured, told, interpreted and incorporated into public realm improvements, creative commissions and other creative outputs via creative engagement.
The post is in response to Liverpool City Council’s ‘Next Generations Neighbourhoods’ pledge. The Pledge is part of the city’s recovery plan, drawing out the key principles that need to be accelerated to ensure minimum impact of the pandemic on the city’s residents and communities. The Creative Neighbourhoods Project Officer post will ensure the arts play a vital role in the city’s recovery, enabling our communities to have the confidence to step out of their front doors and into their neighbourhood and City as it reopens, whilst addressing the needs of communities and their health and wellbeing.
If you wish to find more about the role then please contact Linda Conroy on linda.conroy@liverpool.gov.uk.
