An evening of pure flamenco with national prize-winning young artists from Spain.
The event is held Capstone Theatre, Friday 15th October 2021, 7.30pm.
Dancer and artistic director Julio Ruiz presents this flamenco dance recital, rooted in tradition but expressed by a new generation. This show brings energy and passion, great depth of feeling, musicianship and elegance, with a touch of humour.
Julio brings two other outstanding young musicians – singer Cristo Heredia and guitarist David Caro. Already respected performers and teachers in their own right, they have grown up together in the flamenco community in Almeria. Now mostly based in Madrid, Almeria and Sevilla respectively, they perform together regularly between tours and other engagements.
