Culture Liverpool require an artist/maker to design, create and deliver an arts workshop and tree decorations as part of the Christmas on County programme and the St George’s Hall Christmas Markets.
The artist would be required to make tree decorations to be embellished by local schools in school and the public at an arts workshop prior to be being hung on the trees.
General Requirements:
The decorations and hanging accessories need to be lightweight, sustainable, weatherproof, easily stored and transported and reusable.
The design needs to be of a star.
The decorations need to be provided with all hanging accessories ready to be installed on the trees.
12no. trees at St George’s Hall are approx. 6’ tall and real.
1no. tree at County District is 20’ and artificial.
County District Requirements:
Arts workshop – the artist will deliver an arts workshop at St Mary’s Church Walton-on-the-Hill Christmas Fayre on Saturday 27.11.21. The arts workshop will enable families and public to decorate the stars with wishes for their families and the community. Thought should be given to the method of decoration, durability and sustainability. The embellished stars will need to then be strung ready for install on the County District tree.
All materials to be provided by the artist.

St Georges Hall Christmas Markets Requirements:
Artist to provide 360no. stars (30no. stars per school – 12 schools total) to be decorated in school by pupils under guidance of teachers using readily accessible materials/pens (can be provided by artist). Artist to provide simple instructions for teachers to follow in class.
All stars to be brought with schools to St George’s Hall to decorate trees – to be arranged by Culture Liverpool.
All materials to be provided by artist.
Stars, instructions and any decorating materials to be distributed to schools by Friday 3.12.21.
Budget: £4900 Max
