The company are seeking an enthusiastic and organised person to work in the Venues Department of the Hallé Concerts Society, one of the country’s most distinguished and exciting orchestras.
The Hallé Venues Operations Officer is responsible to the Hallé Venues Operations Manager, assisting in the operational running of events and rehearsals at the Hallé Venues, Hallé St Peter’s and Hallé at St Michael’s in the exciting Ancoats area of Manchester.
Salary £18,500 – £20,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Key tasks will include assisting in preparing and maintaining facilities for rehearsals and other events including: ensuring that appropriate staging, music stands, pianos, chairs and other instruments and equipment are provided for all rehearsal/recording sessions; ensuring that lighting and heating are set at correct levels at all times, monitoring and taking appropriate action as necessary; setting up for Ensembles rehearsals; and providing first call technical/AV support for events.
In addition there will be: undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks; working with the Hallé Venues Operations Manager to facilitate PAT testing of in house electrical equipment; acting as required as Front of House/Duty Manager for the Hallé Venues ensuring licensing objectives and legal obligations are upheld at all times at each venue; and porterage, administrative and letting duties.
