Liverpool City Council are looking for a part time Arts Development Officer to join the Arts, Heritage & Participation Team within Culture Liverpool.
The successful post holder will be required to maintain relationships with the local, national and international tourism/cultural organisations and relevant public/private sector bodies and be responsible for the development of cultural and creative based businesses in Liverpool and develop a thriving culture and tourism sector across the City as a whole.
You will be a positive person with a good knowledge of the arts and cultural sector, both locally and nationally, with experience of working with local government, and be able to demonstrate commitment to equality and diversity in arts and cultural development.
Strong writing and report skills are required, this will include delivery of relevant reports to Council, including briefing notes, delegated authority reports, Cabinet reports, and you will have good presentation skills.
The successful post holder will be responsible for assisting with the administration, allocation, processing and payment of grant applications and will be required to give detailed advice on Arts and Cultural development to senior officers who lead on the development of corporate policies and procedures.
You will be a team player and be able to work under your own initiative with the ability to prioritise a busy workload with some out of hours work required, including attending and support relevant council and cultural sector led meetings.
The role will be based in Cunard Building, Liverpool with some remote working.
This is a fixed term contract for 24 months from appointment to cover a job share post.
