We are looking for a Communications Officer to join our team. Here at FACT, our mission is to enrich lives and shape the future through Film, Art and Creative Technology. Key to this mission is our role as an international centre for artistic excellence and a hub for the local community.
As Communications Officer, you will work with the Marketing & Communications team to increase the profile of FACT Liverpool. This role is instrumental in the delivery of marketing campaigns and communicating our artistic programme to local, national and international audiences, both online and offline. This is a collaborative role, working closely with all of the teams at FACT as well as artists, curators, press, media and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the overall web editor for the FACT website – ensuring content is up-to-date and accurate, utilising the site for campaign activity and liaising with the Marketing & Communications Manager and Digital Content & Marketing Officer to post relevant news stories and content.
- Plan, compose and distribute newsletters and other email marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate ticketing for FACT events using Eventbrite.
- Write, source and edit effective and accessible copy for various media and audiences that reflect FACT’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Lead the organisation of press trips and events for traditional media and digital influencers.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the press function by responding to enquiries, attending relevant media briefings, dealing with photography and video requests and representing FACT at public events.
- Be a point of contact for and share activity with the press offices of our local, regional and international tourism agencies
- Collect, record, monitor and evaluate the press coverage.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager and Digital Content & Marketing Officer to plan communications, write and distribute press releases and contribute to communications strategy.
- Work with the Digital Content & Marketing Officer to design and coordinate distribution of print and marketing collateral, working closely with freelancers and suppliers.
- Support the Digital Content & Marketing Officer in the creation of content for FACT’s social media channels.
- Be part of a team environment and contribute to overall plans and discussions to achieve successful outcomes.
Salary & Hours of Work
Salary: £20,260 pro rata
Hours of Work: 35 per week over 5 days (1.00 FTE)
