TLC-St Luke’s is a charity that has been delivering Arts and Mental Health Drop-In Projects for almost 30 years in the central Manchester area. Their mission is to provide activities and resources for individuals who experience mental and emotional distress, including psychiatric illness.
They are looking for new trustees to bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to our organisation, steering us as we negotiate a period of change, build future sustainability, and develop our vision for the future.
If you want to put your skills to good use whilst doing worthwhile and necessary voluntary work for a charity, then we’d love to welcome you to our board. Whether you are a specialist or a generalist, if you are committed to helping TLC-St. Luke’s realise its potential, they’d welcome your application.
They are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience in charities, accountancy, the law, HR, fundraising, healthcare/social prescribing, property, and the arts. Successful candidates will believe passionately in the benefits of community drop-ins and the arts for health and wellbeing.
This is a voluntary role. They ask for the following commitment:
• A commitment to attending at least 4 trustee meetings per year, the AGM (usually held in November) and extra meetings as required.
• A willingness to volunteer your time for us, spend time at our drop-ins to get to know us, and to get involved in events
• A commitment of at least one year
• Consultation time with staff on specific matters
