Culture Liverpool are looking to commission an artist to create a ‘postcards from County’ postcard series.
As well as a design for a poster, flyer and online promotion of a Storytelling festival which will be occurring at Spellow Library from October – December. This is to celebrate the reopening of Spellow Library, which has been closed for refurbishment over lockdown.
The heart of the festival will be Spellow Hub, which will have recently reopened after refurbishment. On its reopening Spellow Hub will not only function as a library but as a fully accessible community hub with new facilities including:-
- Refurbished adult and children’s library
- Large multi-functional space
- Space for creative workshops
- Learning and development programmes (Adult Learning Service)
- Access to Council services (One Stop Shop provision)
- Improved computer facilities
- Space for community events.
It is important that these postcards reflect the soul and sense of place of the area.
The design can be photographic, illustration, creative writing or whichever other medium the artist feels will represent County Road and its people the best.
A fee of £1000 will be paid to the artist
There is a quick turnaround for the designs. The artist will deliver the first version of the designs by Monday 3rd October for final versions on Monday 10th October
