Would you like to be part of Heart of Glass’ autumn programme?
Would you like to work with communities and have an idea for a project that celebrates green spaces?
Heart of Glass are supporting artists working with communities in St Helens and Knowsley to test, explore and develop new, innovative ideas and engage new audiences.
They are developing a season of events celebrating their communities’ love and appreciation of green spaces running from 16th September – 14th October 2023 in St Helens and Knowsley. The programme will invite audiences to go on a sensory journey as we explore ideas around climate change together. Artists will collaborate with local communities and respond to local green spaces – including parks, allotments and community gardens.
To apply to Prototype Projects and be part of Heart of Glass’ autumn programme, your idea should be for a small scale project, workshop or performance, in any art form that will bring audiences on a slow and gentle sensory exploration of local green spaces.
To be eligible for Prototype Projects you must:
Live in Liverpool City Region
Projects must take place in St Helens Borough Council or Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council local authority areas
Be a creative individual, an artist, or collective of artists
Have an idea for a project that works with people and communities
Be able to make your project / activity happen within a budget between £300 – £1000
Have your project ready for a public audience between 16th September – 14th October 2023
