Theatre in the Rough are seeking two Workshop Assistants to help them deliver the WILDWRIGHTS project.
Overview
Theatre in the Rough is excited to announce the launch of WILDWRIGHTS: a programme of creative writing events set to take place at Sudley Walled Garden in Aigburth.
We’re inviting local young people and families to join us in discovering the wonders of nature, drawing inspiration from the garden’s rich diversity to nurture poetic expression and enhance social and emotional wellbeing. We want to spark creative adventures for curious minds by facilitating a meaningful connection with the wild world.
Seasonal Creative Writing Events: The programme will host four events throughout the year, allowing participants to engage with the changing seasons in Sudley Walled Garden.
Expedition Guides: Participants will be equipped with a specially curated ‘Expedition Guide’ containing cross-species creative prompts. Serving as a roadmap for their self-led journey through the garden, this guide will encourage a deep, sensory exploration of their surroundings.
Cross-Species Writing: Participants will choose a specific entity within the garden, collaborating with it to craft an original piece of writing. This interactive process aims to instil a profound and intimate connection to the natural world, fostering creativity and a heightened appreciation for biodiversity.
Workshops will run 90 minutes, from 1pm-2.30pm.
