Building Brilliant Language with Joe Ward-Munrow

Admission £5
Start Time 11:00
End Time 14:00

The arts are competitive. The industry is underfunded. Resources are hard to come by. What does Liverpool have to offer to combat this?

Theatre in the city is currently abuzz thanks to ‘Boys from the Black Stuff’ (Liverpool’s Royal Court), ‘Up Next Festival’ (Unity Theatre) and ‘The Legend of Ned Ludd’ (Everyman Theatre) running alongside each other. With a mix of established and new works being embraced by audiences, creatives are constantly asking themselves the same questions: when/how/where can I get my opportunity?

In supporting these creatives, Joe Ward-Munrow will be facilitating an affordable workshop, ‘Building Brilliant Language’ on Saturday 11th May. Hosted by the Everyman Theatre, the writer of ‘The Legend of Ned Ludd’ will guide attendees through his process of how to use language creatively within their work; a key technique that has helped build his brand-new production.

Described by ‘The Financial Times’ as “thrillingly audacious”, the 249 variations of this play allow for every performance to be completely different to the previous. It therefore goes without saying that Ward-Munrow has a creative mind designed to be unpacked… and now it can be.

Those in attendance must be 18+ and will have the opportunity to watch the show following the workshop for a discounted price.
