Walker Art Gallery are looking for a freelance graphic designer to help us produce an exhibition catalogue for CONVERSATIONS, an ambitious new exhibition which will bring together work by nearly 50 black woman and non-binary artists who are transforming contemporary British art today.
The exhibition will open in Liverpool on 19 October 2024 and run until 9 March 2025 and aims to ask poignant questions about the present and to provide a moment of celebration and joy centred around artists working in the UK.
A key aspect of this project is the legacy that it will leave behind, going on to influence future exhibitions and the collecting policy at the Walker Art Gallery. Part of this legacy is an accompanying exhibition publication which will be available for visitors to buy at the gallery and online, both during the exhibition run and after it closes.
They are looking for a graphic designer to work on the design of the publication, which should complement the exhibition design in the gallery managed by our in-house creative studio. They have a total budget of £3500 for a graphic designer.
