The Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement is one of The University of Manchester’s Cultural institutions. They connect people with the science, heritage & culture of Jodrell Bank and the wider University of Manchester, engaging visitors through a year-round visitor experience via our exhibitions, grounds, events, and festivals.
They’re looking for a skilled events professional to step into the role of Events Production Manager as Maternity Cover, delivering a high-quality public events programme that attracts a wide range of people to Jodrell Bank provoking wonder, curiosity, fun, engagement and learning across science, heritage, culture, and the arts.
The world-leading science and heritage of Jodrell Bank set a high bar for all of their work and requires them to deliver innovative, credible content of high integrity and quality in their events programme. The post-holder will continue to develop and deliver the programme of events that was relaunched in September 2022, which continues to develop. The post-holder will continue to programme events that reach the wider range of audiences (e.g. young adults, science/tech aficionados, urban-based culture seekers etc) attracted to Jodrell Bank, expanding the appeal of the programme.
Their events must be delivered to the highest possible standards for all involved, be they attendees, staff, guest speakers/talent, partners and volunteers and others.
