In this free workshop children and their adults can try out some of the creative activities that were used to make 'Future, Before It Happens'.
Stine Marie Jacobsen’s film project ‘Future, Before It Happens’, devised with children from St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, will be displayed at Bluecoat as part of their Summer Programme.
The film focuses on the wellbeing of young people in relation to the climate crisis and will be accompanied by a series of free family workshops taking place on weekends during the Summer Holidays.
In this workshop children and their adults can try out some of the creative activities that were used to make ‘Future, Before It Happens’.
Activities include:
- writing postcards to/from the future
- building futuristic objects that could help combat climate change?
- creating group drawings of what the future might look like
Together, we will talk about hopes and fears related to the climate emergency and come up with ideas as a group about how to face the challenges it poses.
This workshop is free and all necessary materials will be provided. Families can stay for the entire session or drop in throughout the day.
This series of workshops is kindly supported by SEVENSTORE.
