For this free event, artist Becky Peach will be hosting a paint workshop to celebrate the natural resources on our doorstep!
Stine Marie Jacobsen’s film project ‘Future, Before It Happens’, devised with children from St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, will be displayed at Bluecoat as part of their Summer Programme.
The film focuses on the wellbeing of young people in relation to the climate crisis and will be accompanied by a series of free family workshops taking place on weekends during the Summer Holidays.
For this free event, artist Becky Peach will be hosting a paint workshop to celebrate the natural resources on our doorstep! They will make paint from foraged plants such as Cornflowers, Mallow, Yarrow and Blackberries to decorate bunting. Join them to contemplate nature and creative environmental sustainability!
Becky Peach is an artist and facilitator at Bluecoat, Blue Room and Studio Me. Their arts practice explores the use of natural dyes, as recently seen at Metal project ‘Planting and Placemaking’ with artist Zhuozhang Li, where Peach prepared natural watercolour paints and stencils.
This workshop is free, and all necessary materials will be provided. Families can stay for the entire session or drop in throughout the day.
This series of workshops is kindly supported by SEVENSTORE.
