The team are looking for artists and creative technologists, with experience in Tech-Lab facilitation, to prepare and deliver a digital skills Tech-Lab which will be toured over a number of weeks across four locations in the North.
The PROTO_Tech-Labs are one strand of the PROTO creative development programme, and have been designed to give participants an insight into the world of digital making. The Tech-Labs are in-person, guided workshops led by Tech-Lab facilitators, where participants will get an opportunity to experiment with digital art tools, programmes and technologies.
PROTO is FutureEverything’s groundbreaking creative development programme designed to nurture and encourage the growth of artists looking to enhance their digital creativity through skill development, digital learning and networking.

PROTO_Tech-Lab themes and requirements
+ Develop digital skills – Tech-Labs will explore specific digital skills or techniques in either creating art or sustaining a career in the arts.
+ Sustainable methodologies – FutureEverything recently announced its intention to appoint Nature to its Board and as such, we’re keen to explore and share sustainable digital practices. These themes will be embedded into the Tech-Lab session, whether it’s the programmes/tools used during the session or part of the Tech-Lab conversation.
+ Public access learning resources – The Tech-Lab programmes and tools must be open source and freely available to PROTO participants, should they wish to continue to explore these materials outside of the Tech-Lab. We’re open to hearing your suggestions.
The fee for Tech-Lab planning and delivery is £400 per Tech-Lab, a total of £1,600 for delivery across the four regions. There are additional resources to support the facilitation of the Tech-Lab, if required.
